i know some families can afford to go on holiday trips every year. for my family, it involves a lot of saving throughout the year. some people rather not spend on holidays and save up money but mummy said she rather spend the money to create memories for us. she said that if we didn't spend so much money on holidays in these twenty years, we would be living in a big house. but she believes that we'll be able to earn lots in the future and be able to buy big houses ourselves. the only thing we cannot create ourselves is childhood memories. she wants us to witness the closeness between her family in hk, more than anything else. aunty also told me she's really happy that i'm so old and still so close to her, rather go out with her and her boyfriend than with friends. people have different values, and family is most important to us.
anyway, next destination is the states in three years! yay happy saving! :)
